Floor Plan Profile: Whistling Palm

One such plan is the Whistling Palm. Like all of our home designs, we focus on coastal homes that blend indoor/outdoor living to make the most of your environment, especially when you build in a community like River Landing at Twenty Mile.

The Whistling Palm is a two-story home with four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a two-car garage with extra storage space, which is set at a right angle to the home, and 3,709 square feet. The second floor is a partial story with two bedrooms with walk-in closets, two full bathrooms, storage, and a loft for flexibility.

You enter the home from the spacious covered front porch into the large foyer where the stairs to the upper level are located. From the foyer you are led into the physical and symbolic center of the home: the living room. This light-filled room has sliding doors that lead out to a back covered porch that looks out over the swimming pool. The living room also includes a fireplace. The open-plan layout flows to the kitchen, complete with a dine-in island and a large walk-in pantry. Next to the kitchen is the dining room that is part of two extensions in the back of the home that create the framed back porch. The dining room includes a door leading onto the porch. There is also the option of a pavilion with an outdoor fireplace outside just off the dining area, ideal for further indoor/outdoor living and entertaining.

A hallway off the kitchen area leads past the pantry, and provides access to a bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The hallway continues on to the laundry room and a mudroom, before turning to the door that connects to the garage. From the garage hallway, there is access to the garbage storage area and utility yard, and inside the hallway, there is access to an additional storage space before reaching the main garage.

On the other side of the home, past the stairway in the entry foyer is  a short hallway that leads to a home office and a powder room. The hallway turns and then leads to the owner’s suite, with its own private hallway. The main bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, and the luxurious bathroom leads to the two walk-in closets. A door in the bedroom leads out onto the back porch.
