It starts with your vision, moves through a fully custom design, continues with a transparent construction process, and ends with a punch walk and orientation before move-in. We stay involved after you move in to make sure the home lives the way you imagined.
How long does it take to build a custom home?

Because every custom home is different, there is no single timeline that applies to every project. The process typically includes design and planning, permitting, site preparation, construction, inspections and final completion. At Glenn Layton Homes, we establish a project-specific schedule based on the home, property and scope of work, then keep homeowners informed as their custom home progresses from design through construction and move-in.
Can we start from scratch, or do you work from existing plans?
Both. We can design your home from a blank page with our architect, or you can start from our library of plans and customize from there. Every home is designed room by room rather than pulled from a catalog.
How do you keep the budget transparent during construction?
Every selection is documented and tracked against your budget in our all-in-one app. Contracts, progress updates, and invoicing all live in one place with real-time access from your phone, so you always know where things stand.
How involved will we be during the build?
As involved as you want to be. You will have real-time visibility into progress, selections, and budget through the app, and our team keeps you informed at every milestone.
What happens after move-in?
Before you move in, we do a full punch walk and home orientation together. After that we stay available to make sure everything in the house works and lives the way it was designed to.
