All of the colorful homes in Ponte Vedra FL are just one of the many factors that make coastal living in this area so much fun. Here at Glenn Layton Homes, we strive to build top-quality homes that truly embrace the coastal lifestyle. From indoor/outdoor living to the color of your front door, there are a wealth of details that make our homes stand out while still blending beautifully with the coastal environment. Whether you choose a neutral sand tone for the exterior of your home, or go with something bright and tropical, your front door color can still make a real statement.

We love pops of color in the front door and our design team is more than happy to work with you to suggest some great colors. For example, we love a color combo one of our clients chose. The home is a light earthy sand color that fits the environment beautifully. Crisp white trim makes the color stand out. Then for the front door, they chose a beautiful light blue with white trim that adds that perfect coastal touch. It’s a great blend of sea and sky.

Another great color combination is a white home with a seafoam green front door. Use the same color on shutters and accessories, such as flower pots, for a stylistic finish.

Navy blue is particularly on trend this year, but honestly, it’s such a classic color that you can’t go wrong. A navy blue front door stands out, yet seems so natural, whether it’s paired with white, gray, or deeper earth tones. Once again, consider using some plant pots and other small accessories in the same color to make a real statement.

Of course, you don’t have to limit yourself to shades of blue and green. The wonderful thing about the Florida coast is the riot of bold colors in nature. Think of all the colors of the hibiscus. From bright pink to shades of red, to a combination of orange and pink. These are all great colors for a front door that really adds to your home’s curb appeal, especially when paired with weathered gray or white for the main body of the home.

Of course, what’s more representative of the Sunshine State than a bright yellow door! You can’t really go wrong with this choice, especially when paired with white. A yellow door is sure to bring a smile to your face each day and is a great warm welcome to friends and guests.

Finally, there’s no reason you can’t be bold in both your exterior wall color and front door color. For a real tropical feel that still has a sense of colorful elegance, consider light blue siding and a tangerine orange or bright yellow door. Your home becomes an extension of the coastal sky.

Coral, purple, green and more all make fantastic choices when it comes to the front door of coastal homes in Ponte Vedra FL. Think about the colors that really inspire you and have some fun. Whether you go all out with your whole home’s exterior or just focus on the front door, you’ll find that a colorful front door really makes your home feel special.
