After the recent recession, new home construction suffered. However, there was still a demand for quality homes and communities. In Paradise Key Jacksonville Beach FL offered a community that would emerge triumphant from the recession. Full of outstanding coastal homes in a community that is much more than a grouping of houses, Paradise Key has grown into a nationally recognized building project. Glenn Layton has been a huge part of Paradise Key from the early days and is proud to be finishing up the last three lots in the community this year.

As Paradise Key wraps up its successful construction, it’s a great time to look back on all that has been achieved. Perhaps most importantly is the development of a true community. The residents of Paradise Key interact regularly with each other, taking part in book clubs, wine gatherings, potluck dinners, the coordination of community maintenance, and much more. This is a community where neighbors become friends.

Since 2012, Glenn Layton Homes has built 53 of the 62 homes in the community. Among those homes was the nationally recognized Smart Home built in 2013 with HGTV. The knowledge and experience gained through building the Smart Home has enabled Glenn Layton to expand the smart technology available in each of their homes, while also reducing the costs. Their cutting-edge approach makes any home built by Glenn Layton hugely attractive to home buyers.

Paradise Key also takes the environment into consideration, with the community designed to have zero-scape landscaping that includes low-water-consumption plant materials. The homes also feature low-volume plumbing features, tankless gas water heaters, efficient doors and windows, spray foam insulation, and high efficiency HVAC systems that result in lower utility bills.

As well as the technology and environmental awareness involved in building the homes, the strict coastal design aspect has also played a part in making the community so desirable. Architect Michael Stauffer was able to incorporate the coastal vernacular into each home in a way that met the overall planning requirements but also met the desires of the clients. With the varying shapes and sizes of the lots and homes, the community is cohesive yet also natural in its overall feel.

These are coastal homes in every sense, which also means that they need to stand up to coastal weather. While sunshine is a huge part of enjoying Paradise Key Jacksonville Beach FL has also been victim of hurricanes in 2016 and 2017. All of the homes withstood the battering and survived the storms without any damage, a testament to how carefully they are designed and constructed. The strength of the homes is matched only by the attachment homeowners feel for them. Since Paradise Key started, only three of the homes have been resold and all sold quickly.

While Paradise Key may be finishing off its construction, you can find comparable homes from Glenn Layton in other Jacksonville-area communities. Contact them today to see about how you could find yourself living in coastal luxury.
